Kansas- Statewide ESInet Progress

The State of Kansas continues to make great progress on their goal of creating a statewide ESInet , including NextGen Core Services.

Since signing on with AT&T in April of 2017, the Kansas 911 Coordinating Council , has done a great job of connecting counties to the network. Unfortunately, the majority of states have not made this type of progress and most states do not have a centralized governance structure that could allow this type of venture.

Below are some of the Kansas ESInet team members at the testing center in Yoder.

Geospatial routing and statewide call handling are ‘in the works’. I think we can all learn a lot from this effort…
